Dr Nnaemeka Onyeka Obiaraeri, FICA, MIRA is a Certified Financial Engineer/Investment Banking Executive with broad experience/skills in all aspects of Equities & Debts Origination, Structuring, Execution, Syndication and Distribution; Project Finance; Correspondent Banking; Structured Finance; Securities Trading &Treasury Management; Financial Advisory; Portfolio Management; Micro, Small and Medium Enterprise Financing and Private Equity Funds Management (Managed funds/portfolios in excess of USD65million).

Diverse and direct experience/involvement in Capital Raising exercises in excess of US$ 3 billion for Corporate Organizations and Governments in the local and international capital markets. Nnaemeka has special interests in early-stage start-ups (Greenfields) as well as companies “on the bubble.”

He has at different times held high-profile positions in some notable financial institutions in Nigeria

He is an alumnus of Abia State University, Nigeria, from where he graduated at the top of his Class and Faculty [Faculty Scholar and VC Awards Winner ] with a B. Sc. Honours Degree in Banking & Finance.

He also holds advanced degrees and certifications from Leeds Metropolitan University, United Kingdom and Harvard Kennedy School of Government, Harvard University, Cambridge MA, USA.

Nnaemeka has participated in Key Financial and Power Sector Funding training of the Euro Money Training, UK and Siemens Germany.

He was a member of the four-man Federal Government of Nigeria delegation to South America in 2006 on a study tour of MSME financing in South America and also the Founder/Facilitator of the International Institute of Micro-Finance and Small Business (Africa/Middle East).

Nnaemeka is the Founding Executive Secretary of the Africa Education Funding and Development Support (AFREFUND).

He is also the founding Executive Secretary of the International Institute of Microfinance and Small Businesses (Africa/Middle ).

He is also the Founding Group Chairman of the South East Farms and Agricultural Processing Company Limited (SEFAPCOL). www.sefapcol.com. Mrs Elizabeth is a Member of the Advisory Board at SEFAPCOL. She is an investment banker; the first female stockbroker licensed on the Nigerian Stock Exchange. She is an expert in the structuring, documentation, securitization, marketing of capital market issues and asset & liability management. She is a Special Trustee in Africa to the European Economic Development Council (EEDC).

Mr. Johnson Chukwu (B.Sc, MBA, FCA, FCTI) – GROUP MD/CEO Mr. Chukwu is the initiator/founder of Cowry Asset Management Limited. Prior to the establishment of Cowry Asset Management Limited, he has been actively involved in the Nigerian capital market and was instrumental to the establishment of one of the most vibrant capital market operator, as the pioneer General Manager/Chief Executive Officer of Guardian Express Trust Limited (now Spring Capital) – a subsidiary of Guardian Express Bank Plc (now Spring Bank Plc). 

Before joining Cowry Asset Management Limited on a full-time basis in October 2007, Mr. Chukwu was between February 2006 and September 2007 a Deputy General Manager and Group Executive, Operations of Spring Bank Plc. 

While in Spring Bank he was responsible for integrating into a single platform the diverse operations units of the six constituent banks that merged into Spring Bank. Between December 2000 and January 2006, Mr. Chukwu worked in Guardian Express Bank Plc and supervised at various times such functions as Structured/Corporate Finance, Treasury, Risk Management, Operations, Human Capital Management, Information technology, and Facilities management. He was also the Bank’s pioneer Chief Financial Officer and was responsible for setting up Guardian Express Bank’s Accounting systems, processes, and Management/Financial reporting systems. 

His banking career also includes a 3-year stint as the Deputy Financial Controller of Diamond Bank Plc (1997 – 2000) and 5 years experience with Intercontinental Bank Plc (1992 – 1997) where worked in Credit and Marketing (Trade Finance), Financial Control, Treasury Operations, and Branch Operations. Mr. Chukwu is a Bachelor of Science (B.Sc.) second class upper degree holder in Accounting and a University of Lagos Scholar.

Mr Chinedu serves as one of the directors at SEFAPCOL. He is the CEO, PMR Group, Co-founder, Start-up Africa. He is a serial entrepreneur, a published author, and a Strategy & Investment Specialist.

He has over 16 years of experience in Banking, Finance and Strategic Management. He sits on the Board of SEFAPCOL on behalf of the Abia state PPP office.

Mr Nwokoji is one of the directors at SEFAPCOL. He holds an MBA from the University of Calabar. He has over 13 years of experience in Investment Banking with a strong bias toward Corporate Finance and Financial Advisory Services.

He has worked with FBN Merchant Bank (Now FBN Capital Ltd); Oceanic Bank International; and Bank PHB (now Keystone Bank).
